What’s the deal with Hernandez? The cynical me says he’s not looking to rush back, having fallen out with Moyes at the Mancs and will be off in January.

Hernandez is the fucking key to everything.

Much much better...two new fullbacks need to be top of wanted list January...Zabaleta just shit and Cresswell never stops a cross , a la their equaliser...looks totally shot to bits.

Decent performance yesterday with a clear game plan that they had obviously worked on all week. Everyone stuck to their task and could have nicked a point if Sakho's effort had gone in at the end.
However, if we have that same plan every week we will go down as we will draw too many games. We need that commitment and discipline coupled with a plan for attacking the opposition in a positive way, not just kicking it in to the channels.

I can't see the owners changing the manager in January, regardless of the league position- that would require them to admit their failings, something they're not very good at.
A couple of loans and maybe a cheap signing is the best we will get in January.

That's right. People will probably laugh but I'm now wondering if we missed a trick with Woy? Yes his stock was low after the Iceland disgrace, but I reckon he might have been a decent fit for us. London lad, has a bit of a swagger about him and sets his teams up in a positive attacking way.

Tough one to see who we get in. There are always options though.

More tellingly than that for me, there were 3 teams before us looking for a Manager, and NONE of them went near Moyes.

Re: ⚽ Man City v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 2-1
OM - Agree, son. The R word must terrify them, it will cost peanuts to pay Moyes off so I think they would have to do something, but then it's the same old question of who comes in. Redknapp?

Re: ⚽ Man City v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 2-1
Fair point that, Dancer son. Also, these games are sometimes a better indication of teams that are going down. Where you 'play well' and can't see the point(s) home.

We are left in a position now where we are asking a Manager to show the best form of the last 5 years to get us out of trouble. I think come Jan 1st, the owners might have to try and do something they have never done in their time here, and admit their mistake and do something about it. Surely there's no room for sentiment?

Yes, we lost. But this time yesterday if you'd have offered a 2-1 defeat and the performance we put in, I'd have bitten your hand off. And so would virtually everyone else.

Re: ⚽ Man City v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 2-1
As much as I don't like to admit it if you put in 100% and lose to the better side then you can't grumble. My concern is this assumption by some that we will now take this new found commitment on to the next game, but football rarely works like that. I think we are a different animal every week and hate playing in that shithole. I'm not very confident about these upcoming 2 home games.

There for the taking!
They had won 12 in a row and won a couple of games late on as the other teams parked the bus.
They are head and shoulders above every team in the league

Our task is to put the same concentration and effort into all our games. The problem is that we haven’t got anywhere near that in virtually every game.

Cant agree Mex, City were there for the taking yesterday and had been unimpressive in a couple of games leading up to this and I actually backed us double chance win/draw yesterday. Chelsea and Arsenal could be a different story im afraid

We played well yesterday, if we play like that against chelsea and arsenal we will get something from those games.

I don’t give a shit if we looked better and it was Man city who are unbeaten, runaway top of the league, a loss is a fucking loss.

Don’t care right now how we win games but win we must, another better performance against Chelsea will mean fuck all if we don’t get the points.

No pats on the back or encouraging signs from me etc, its out of that bottom 3 I want us to be, and not go back in it…………

they may see it but why would you get rid of a youngster on a minimal wage contract who'll only improve and keep hold of overpaid has-beens who have been stealing a living for the last two and a bit seasons? attitudes/decisions like that are why we're in the position we're in now

No-one else can see the quality we can see?

Why the fuck aren't we all managing clubs, if the current managers are so blind?
